Fritz is a handsome Red Smooth Haired Small Standard Sized neutered male Dachshund, weighing 15 lbs.  He is a very loving dog, warms up quickly to new people, and adjusts well to new environments.  However, he is very protective of the person or persons he calls his own!  I got him as a puppy in May of 2003, but placed him in a new home in January of 2005.  However, due to the person having a new baby, demanding his Mom's attention, the owner asked if I would take him back, and I gladly did.  He is spoiled rotten, and LOVES sleeping in the bed, and under the covers.  However, he is crate trained and also does well sleeping in a crate with lots of snuggly bedding at night.  He is house trained and leash trained as well.  I had someone keeping him for me during my trying time in December when I was having to place several dogs, but he came back to my home recently.  I would love to find him a new forever home.  He gets along well with other dogs and cats as well, and would make a wonderful addition to a good loving home.  He does have a slight disk issue in his back that bothers him very little on occasion, if he over exerts himself.  But he is a very healthy dog.  I am just asking for a $50 adoption fee to place him.
